5 Must-Try Indian Dishes at Masala Art in Needham, MA

Looking for the best Indian food in Needham, MA? At Masala Art, a top-rated Indian restaurant near Boston, we bring authentic Indian cuisine to the heart of Needham. Whether you’re craving Chicken Tikka Masala, vegetarian Indian dishes, or South Indian flavors like Dosa, here are five must-try dishes that locals love:

1. Chicken Tikka Masala

alt=”Chicken Tikka Masala at Masala Art Needham”

A true classic and a favorite at Masala Art in Needham, our Chicken Tikka Masala features tender, marinated chicken grilled to perfection and simmered in a creamy tomato-based sauce. Balanced with aromatic spices and just the right level of heat, this dish is best enjoyed with our house-made naan or fragrant basmati rice.

2. Paneer Butter Masala

This vegetarian favorite is a rich, comforting dish made with fresh paneer (Indian cottage cheese) cooked in a buttery tomato cream sauce. It’s mildly spiced and perfect for anyone looking to explore Indian vegetarian cuisine. Guests often pair it with our garlic naan for the perfect bite. If you’re looking for vegetarian Indian food in Needham, our Paneer Butter Masala is a creamy, satisfying dish

3. Biryani

Our biryani is a favorite for anyone searching for the best Indian biryani in Needham—fragrant, slow-cooked, and full of authentic flavor. At Masala Art, we prepare our biryani with long-grain basmati rice, slow-cooked meat or vegetables, saffron, and whole spices. Each bite is aromatic, layered, and deeply flavorful. Served with raita on the side, it’s a complete meal that’s loved by locals here in Needham.

4. Chole Bhature

A popular North Indian street food, our Chole Bhature is both bold and satisfying. The chickpeas are simmered in a spiced gravy until tender, and paired with our hot, puffed bhature (fried bread). It’s a popular weekend brunch dish at our Needham restaurant and a great way to explore Indian flavors.

5. Masala Dosa

For something light yet full of flavor, try our Masala Dosa—a crispy, golden crepe made from fermented rice and lentils, filled with a seasoned potato mash. Served with coconut chutney and sambar, this South Indian classic is a hit with vegetarians and anyone seeking gluten-free options in Needham.

Diwali Dinner at Masala Art!
Diwali is the Indian festival of lights. Diwali commemorates the return of Lord Rama, along with Sita and Lakshmana, from his 14-year-long exile and vanquishing the demon-king Ravana. In joyous celebration of the return of their king, the people of Ayodhya illuminated the kingdom with earthen diyas and celebrated by bursting firecrackers. For Hindus, Diwali is one of the most important festivals of the year and is celebrated with family and friends by performing traditional prayers and holding small get togethers in their homes.
